I am here.
Many moments filled with magic –
From the late night talks
And the Charlevoix walks
You having me
And watching as we had Emmy
I still feel surrounded by your love
And yet I can’t remember living inside you.
I remember the dancing bolognas
And the sticker on your head.
And the angry words that turned into dancing laughs
My little spaces and the respect you gave me
My many friends and the respect you gave them.
Your arm across me as we stopped quickly
Your encouragement behind me so I could not fail
You groomed me for gr8fulness right from the beginning
There is no end to the connections we’ve made.
There are only tears of joy between us.
And the smiles outweigh the frowns a thousand fold.
Oh how fortunate we are.
No one can take away the fortunes we have.
We have had gr8 moments before and gr8 moments after.
But there was that day that you didn’t expect to see me.
Standing next to that tree, I can see you walking and looking.
Twisting your face and trying to figure it out.
Yes. I am here. And you are with me. Reunited once again.
From the day I first moved inside you our reunions began.
I’ve learned we are more than in each other’s heart.
We have become each other’s part.
I am a part of you and you are a part of me.
I am fulfilled with the love you have filled me with.
I can still feel you scratching my back.
When I look in the mirror I can see you smiling.
I hold my children in my arms and I can feel you holding me.
Here I stand.
A boy, a man
Molded by your hand.
Like a piece of clay following in your way.
Under the tree of life sheltered by your love.
Love is the seed that only grows bigger
Creating more seeds of love to be spread.
You are the tree and I am here.
